HOW TO BOOK THE COLOSSEUM

The reservation of the Colosseum is not compulsory but recommended to avoid the long waits at the ticket office. When you have your tickets booked and printed you can go straight to the entrance without standing in the long line. The tickets booked are valid for the Colosseum, the Palatine Museum, Palatine hill and Roman Forum and can be use for two days.
To make the reservation you can use one of the several websites for booking as the Colosseum has not an official one and you need to have a Credit Card Visa or MasterCard with you. After the transaction, you will receive a confirmation page with the button to print it. You can then print your tickets directly on your printer on a A4 paper. The tickets are going to be printed with a regular tax seal.
The ticket costs € 12.00 plus 1,5 € of reservation fee, the reduced ticket is for the European citizens between 18 and 25 years old and costs 7,5 € plus 1,5 € of reservation fee showing a valid ID. A free ticket is for young under 18 years old and seniors over 65 years old of the European community. The booking fee have to be paid, however. Tickets booked on line but not used can not be refunded.
